Guest ID policy

Every booking requires the lead guest to verify their identity before check-in. This protects the homes, their neighbours and genuine guests.

What we ask for

  • A clear photo of a valid government-issued photo ID (passport, driving licence or national ID card) for the lead guest.
  • A selfie or short verification where the online check-in asks for one, so the ID matches the person checking in.
  • The names of all guests staying, and a contact number for the lead guest.

When

Online check-in opens after payment and must be completed before access details are released. Most guests complete it in under five minutes from their phone.

How your ID is handled

ID is collected by the Operator (or by the check-in tool they use) and is used only to verify identity, to meet legal obligations, and to deal with damage or disputes. It is stored securely, is not used for marketing, and is deleted after the retention period in the Privacy notice.

If ID is not provided

The Operator may refuse check-in and treat the booking as a no-show under the Cancellation policy.
